This video may be old news to you. But I just saw it start popping up for the first time in my Facebook feed via Upworthy.
I didn’t know who Sarah Silverman was but, given the premise she thinks we all accept, I’m not impressed with her intelligence.
Just think about this: The NRA is a gun lobby. It is powerful but it is also powerfully opposed. It never knows when a coalition might grow strong enough to stop it.
What would the NRA think if every young black male in the entire United States was to acquire a handgun?
Duh. They would declare victory!
The spread of gun culture into the Black community would actually be a complete defeat for Democrats and Liberalism.
There would also be less crime. The high crime rate among African Americans still depends on the relative lack of gun ownership among African Americans in general. Crime doesn’t pay among a well-armed populace.
Start a “black NRA”?
There already is a black NRA. It is known as the National Rifle Association, with members like Whoopi Goldberg, James Earl Jones, former NBA player Karl Malone, and rapper Killer Mike.
That is why, despite having religious disagreements with him, I generally respect and write positively about Malcolm X. Malcolm would have not hesitated to tell black youths to own firearms (he did tell them that!) and he would be happy to see the NRA defend their right to do so. Here’s some wisdom from Malcolm:
Never let them be brainwashed into thinking that whenever they take steps to see that they’re in a position to defend themselves that they’re being unlawful. The only time you’re being unlawful is when you break the law. It’s lawful to have something to defend yourself.
What would Malcom think of African Americans playing supporting roles to a white woman mocking the idea of minority gun ownership?
Likewise, Gunowners of America have always supported the rights of minorities to own guns. We’re talking about a basic human right, after all.
Do liberals think that any NRA member failed to cheer when they heard Ice-T?
Another example: Meet Ken Blanchard—African American, Baptist Minister, and host of the Black Man with a Gun podcast. Is this supposed to be a problem?
I don’t see how this could be more obvious. NRA members want more people to own and carry guns. Even if they were prone to the hidden racist feelings that Liberals want to slander them as having, just the economics of it should tell you that widespread gun ownership is their main desire and need. In a democracy, minorities tend to have their rights taken away by the majority, constitutional protections notwithstanding. If a majority of Americans become gun owners then they no longer have to fear that contingency.
A shared culture and values is more significant than skin pigmentation.
I certainly have more in common with African American gun owning Christians than stupid White liberals. This whole racial divide is a liberal construct.
Divide and conquer.

3. The NRA has a history of supporting the Civil Rights Movement.
While African Americans were being terrorized by the Ku Klux Klan, where the Klan were sometimes aided by local law enforcement, the NRA setup charters to help train local African American communities to be able protect themselves. The most prominent case being in 1960 in Monroe, N.C. where the local National Association for the Advancement of Colored People head Robert Williams also chartered an NRA Rifle Club that succesfully defended an assault on one of their leader’s homes by the KKK without casualties.
Note that I don’t actually like all the things revealed about the NRA at that webpage (i.e. a history of favoring gun control and favoring more aggressive enforcement of existing gun laws), but it still shows you how silly and ignorant the video really is.
